Where Is Yorkville Georgia?

Yorkville is an unincorporated town located in Paulding County, Georgia, at the crossroads of Highway 113 and Gold Mine Road. It’s part of a large unincorporated area referred to as “West Paulding.” Paulding County itself is at the western edge of the Atlanta metropolitan area.

Paulding County is a largely rural area with only two cities: Hiram and Dallas. Many communities in the unincorporated West and South Paulding areas have Dallas, Hiram, or Rockmart, GA mailing addresses, including Yorkville.

Paulding County has a land area of 313 square miles. Yorkville covers almost 96 square miles, or close to one-third of the county. The unincorporated area is often grouped with other unincorporated neighborhoods like Draketown, Beulah, and Union.

The Yorkville, Georgia, community is 10 miles west of Dallas, 16 miles west of Hiram, 20 miles west of Powder Springs, and 28 miles from the city of Marietta. It's 50 miles from Atlanta to Yorkville, Georgia.

Yorkville Population & Demographics

According to Census Bureau data, the Yorkville census county division (CCD) has a population of 18,345. The CCD is used for census statistical purposes only and covers western Paulding County. There are 5,350 families and households in the county, with a median household income of $72,150.

The median age is 37, slightly high for the county. About 14% of residents are 65 and older compared to 11% for the entire county. Around 30% of residents are children under 18. Yorkville, GA, has a skewed sex ratio, with 53 females over 18 for every 47 males.

When it comes to diversity, Yorkville is less diverse than Paulding County overall. The population is 75% white, 17% Black or African American, 1% Asian, 1% Hispanic, and 3% two or more races. The Hispanic population is just one-fifth the share of the county overall.

Yorkville is mostly rural. Home to over 18,000 people and nearly one-third of the entire county, there are just 166.5 people per square mile in the community.
